We offer a valuation service in our Belfast, Dublin or Omagh offices or we can arrange for a valuer to visit your home by appointment. We recommend initially sending photographs with any other relevant information, from which we are happy to offer advice as to value. Commission

The standard commission for all items sold at Gormleys Art Auctions is 10% of the hammer price. The commission is subject to VAT at the prevailing rate. 

Special rates can be negotiated depending on the value of goods consigned.

Administration Fee

There will be an administration fee of £25/€30 plus vat on all lots sold.

Insurance

Unless otherwise instructed in writing by the seller, all lots shall be insured under Gormleys Art Auctions policy. A charge of 1% of the hammer price will be charged or if not sold the reserve is levied in accordance with our conditions of sale. Lots not covered under this policy remain completely at the sellers own risk.

Artist’s Resale Rights

Northern Ireland

Artist’s resale rights are applicable to all works of a living artist that reach a hammer price over 1,000 at a rate of up to 4%.*.

Republic of Ireland

Artist’s resale rights are applicable to all works of a living artist that reach a hammer price over 3,000 at a rate of up to 4%.*

Payment

Payment is issued 28 days from the date of sale by way of cheque together with a detailed statement. Payment can be made in either Euro or Sterling however lots sold will be invoiced as per the currency of the country that the auction took place and if required converted at or close to the exchange rate on the day of the auction.

Full terms and conditions are advised and agreed between Gormley's Fine Art and the vendor in advance of any sale.
