Ronan Walsh
Born in Dublin. Ronan’s talent was identified at a very young age, his first exhibition was held in Holland when he was seventeen. Ronan’s first major collector was the late Sir Edward James, who had extensively supported Salvador Dali in the early 1920’s.
Ronan graduated from NCAD in Dublin in 1984 and went on to study at L’Ecole des beaux arts in Paris. While in France he held a number of exhibitions.
In 1988 Ronan was selected to represent Ireland at the Nice Art Fair, which resulted in two major one-man shows; one in Belgium and one in Canada. Exhibitions across the US and Canada followed, as well as a couple of teaching positions. In 2000 Ronan held his first one-man exhibition in Ireland.
