Bidding online
The online auction system is an automated online-only auction which takes place on our website (www.gormleysartauctions.com). Each sale will commence at a designated time and date and will run for a specified number of days. The sale will end with each lot finishing at on minute intervals up until the completion of the auction (Please note: Each individual lot displays a unique end time).

Should a bidder be outbid, they will be notified, and if the lot is in its last two minutes the end time will extend by two minutes, to give the bidder time to consider raising their bid amount.

You may leave a maximum bid which will instruct the computer to bid on your behalf only as much as required for you to remain the highest bidder up until your maximum amount. This means that you may win an item for less than your maximum bid, however you can also be outbid if someone enters a higher maximum bid. Please note: Only you will know what your maximum bid is.

If your maximum bid amount matches that of another bidder, precedence will be given to the bidder who first placed the amount in question.

If buying online it is the purchasers responsibility to ensure that they have satisfied themselves with the condition of the lot.
